Soul's Ember [Seelenglut]

In the infinity of the heart there lives a fire that was never lit;

A sacred core.

We never lose this fire, this force. But some of us lose sight of it.

Grief carried too long alone builds walls around it. Fear convinces us the walls are necessary. Worry mistakes itself for wisdom. And slowly, so slowly we do not notice, we begin to live as though the fire has gone out.

We move through days that pass through us like wind through an empty house. We call this ordinary life. But something in us knows it is not.

Because the ember cannot go out. It can be overlooked in a way you overlook your own heartbeat until the room goes quiet.

Remember that the deepest thing in you was never wounded. Remember that you cannot break.
