Dew of Innocence [Unberührte Würde]

Innocence - for me - represents the Core of Human Purity and Simplicity.

Psychologically, innocence often manifests as a sense of purity, naivety, and simplicity within the self. It is where our innate goodness, trust, and unblemished perceptions of the world reside. This inner innocence can be safeguarded or shattered by experiences of growth, betrayal, or significant life changes that influenced our worldview and self-perception.

Innocence can be seen as a metaphor for the untainted perspective through which we view the world and our experiences. It is the space where the boundaries of cynicism and scepticism have yet to encroach, leaving us open to the wonders and possibilities of existence. 
What is the essence of goodness? What is the significance of purity? How do we maintain innocence in a complex world?

Our own childlike innocence helps us to recognise the limitations of our experiences and confront the possibility that some aspects of human nature may remain forever unspoiled. This realisation can be comforting and challenging, as it highlights the vulnerability and potential for growth within our constructed identities. Yet, it can also be a source of profound insights, reminding us to nurture and protect the simplicity and purity within us.

This sculpture is intended to be a very fragile and humble reminder your own purity and simplicity. It asks you to treasure the unblemished and seek wisdom in the face of complexity.
